Away

It has been a busy few weeks. A week on holiday on the East shore of Lake Garda, and then a new job started. Somehow it seems that all the relaxation of the holiday disappears when you have a new job to face. Anyway normal service will be resumed shortly. For now a few holiday snaps.

busy

Painted some bodywork for a friend's street tracker. A little tongue in cheek maybe. Waiting for the clear to cure so it can be cut and buffed.

Flip flop

Built up my new Reynolds 853 tubed Inbred today. Swapped over all the running gear from the Alfine hub'd Genesis Io id. Some head scratching but it's done now.
The bike feels very springy and loose. In a good way.

Productive

Spent the late afternoon making use of the oven being on and some fresh eggs from the farm, along with some sneaky honey from a mates bees and baked a pretty bloody good cake.

Shame

1500 miles between MoTs I found out on Friday.
That's shameful. Seems the Tenere has taken over all the duties.
I decided to put some more on the Triumph over a 24 hour run to the Fens and back to catch up with friends. 450 more as it turned out, thanks to some navigation errors on my part.
Despite heavy rain and crappy conditions, the 17 year old bike didn't miss a beat.
Just need to get used to the new rear tyre now.
